Reminders 3/31/20

Hello Parents!
I hope everyone is doing well! I just wanted to remind you of our supplemental learning websites and Google Classroom Activities that I posted two weeks ago to keep your kids busy (and out of trouble!😆). I am also offering extra credit this week for 40 minutes of Iready and 50 minutes of Moby Max Math. Don't forget about the invitation from Epic, sent to your email address on file, to receive free access at home. Keep your kids reading! I also posted on Google Classroom the Flocabulary multiplication AND division songs that we use in class. Enjoy being able to spend time with your kids. Draw, bake, play games, do crafts, etc. Today my son and I baked banana bread and did step by step drawings from YouTube!🤗
Chromebook and packet pick up is Thursday, April 2 at 10am and remote learning begins Monday, April 6 at 8am. Keep checking Class Tag daily for new information! We're in this together! Take care!! 🌻❤️

Update 3/26/20

Update 3/26/20

Hello Parents!
I hope everyone is taking care of themselves. I also hope that the supplemental websites/activities/read alouds are serving you and your students well!
Chromebook pick up for third grade will be Thursday, April 2nd from 10:00am - 10:45am. It will be a drive thru style. Students will receive their chromebook, a charger, an envelope with a packet of worksheets with a parent cover letter, and an orange reading textbook.
Distance learning will begin on Monday, April 6 at 8am with small groups of students logging onto their Chromebooks for video instruction. There will be a schedule posted each day on Google Classroom with links to the small group schedule, and other websites/assignments. Next weekend, I will post a how- to video explaining everything that needs to be done.
Please give the students my best! I miss them! Thank you!

Update 3/19/20

Hello Parents,
It has been decided by our county and district to have the schools remain closed until May 1. School is set to resume on Monday, May 4, 2020.
The district is setting up dates when the students can get their Chromebooks. I will let you know as soon as possible. We will need to go to remote learning during this time. I will give you further information when I know more details.
In the meantime, continue using the websites and activities provided. The district also gave another website to use:
Thank you for your patience. We're all in this together! Please give the students my best and tell them I really, really, really miss them!!!! 😢💕

Epic!!

Great news!
The online reading program that we use in class is offering FREE home access now through June 30, 2020. All you need is an invitation from the teacher. So I used the emails that are on Infinite Campus to send you the invitations. If I got the email addresses incorrect, please send me a message with the correct email and I will resend it. Thanks!

At Home Learning

Hello parents!
As you know, school will be closed for the next two weeks. Here are some suggestions and activities that you can have your child do at home...
1) Log on to Google Classroom and find these websites - Iready, Moby Max, Multiplication games and songs, Coding, Jigsaw Puzzles, Typing Club, Free Rice, Grammar Word Games, Raz Kids, Epic, and more!
2) Virtual Field trips!
3) Practice Multiplication facts (Multiplication War, write them out, online games, etc.)
4) READ!!!! The genre for our next book talk is student choice, so the kids can choose their own book and start reading. 👍
5) Family Time! Take a walk, play board games and card games, build forts, draw, paint, and do other crafts, create a play, write a story, do science experiments...(the sky's the limit!)
6) For more websites and ideas, see the attached pictures and also visit:
Take this time to rest, relax, and take care of yourselves! Tell the kids that Mrs. Cabreddy and I will miss them, but we'll see them soon! 😊😊💕
